STD Quotation Terms

Unless amended in our letter of quotation these conditions form part of any quotation supplied by our company. They detail standard inclusions and exclusions or requirements that otherwise quantify our offer.
1. The unloading of steelwork is performed on the day of commencement of erection. The requirement to unload steelwork prior to the commencement of erection is subject to additional charges. All deliveries of materials are to accompanied by a delivery docket detailing all items being delivered. All steelwork delivered is to include two copies of the latest revisions of Holding Down Bolt and Steel Marking Plans, as well as, Bolt and Purlin schedules, as applicable. In addition the provision of a complete set of Structural Steel Workshop Drawings, Engineering and Architectural Drawings is required. No allowance has been made for the any permits or costs associated with road closures. (Note: Security of on-site materials and the provision of works insurance have not been included).
2. All Grid Lines and/or Centre Lines and/or Reference Levels are to be provided by others. The leveling of all Holding Down (H.D.) Bolt Jacking Nuts, Packers or Shims from Reference Level (R.L.) datum is to be completed by others. The price quoted is based on all cast in H.D. Bolts that have been installed by others, being so installed within AS4000 tolerances. Should the H.D. Bolts not be installed within AS4000 tolerances the rectification work and any additional costs incurred in any resulting delay in construction will be considered a variation. Where the tender drawings detail the installation of chemical and/or masonry anchors we have allowed for the installation of supplied materials only. It is a requirement that all Centre Lines and/or Gridlines and/or R.L.s be supplied and marked adjacent to the installation locations necessary for easy set out. All fixing materials required including, but not limited to, bolts, nuts, washers, chemical anchors, masonry bolts, packers and shims are to be supplied by the fabricator. No allowance for grouting has been included.
3. Where the project requires the installation of structural steel connections to concrete panels or block work, an allowance has been made for the site welding (if any) of the connections required for installing the structural steel only. It is a requirement that all Centre Lines and/or Gridlines and/or R.L.s be supplied and marked adjacent to the installation locations necessary for easy set out. Excluded from this quotation is the installation or welding of panel to panel connections. All cast-in ferrules installed by others are to be in their correct locations, be exposed, clean and ready for the installation of the appropriate fasteners. Any steelwork that is to connect to ferrules is to have holes or plates designed to allow for easy installation. Steelwork that finishes flush against panels, etc, which prevents the item from being chock slung is to have erection cleats or holes for eyebolts installed in the fabrication process.
4. Where the project requires the installation of hip, valley or edge trimmers that have been detailed on tender drawings, the purlin/trimmer system is to be designed so they can be Tek screwed to the ends of purlins without the need to be cut, trimmed or notched. Any site work other than Tek screwing will be considered a variation.
5. No allowance has been made for any metalwork items, including but not limited to, handrails, top hat sections, box gutter brackets, stud walls or framework etc.
6. Any expanded mesh, grating, or similar, required for A.C. platforms, walkways and the like that is detailed on the tender drawings and is to be installed in our scope of works, is to be supplied cut to size ready for installation complete with all fixings and/or fasteners. No allowance has been made for any site cutting or site welding of these items.
7. The site is to be suitable and fit for safe access to all working areas for our plant, equipment, materials and labour. Access to all necessary areas for our cranes is to be provided. This may include leaving out slabs or tilt panels etc.
8. An allowance for the provision of Access Equipment only has been made. No allowance has been made for the provision of any scaffolding that may be required to allow the erection to take place.
9. No allowance has been made for the provision of any materials. All such materials are to be supplied free on-site by the fabricator.
10. No allowance has been made for any site painting including touch-up painting.
11. The price tendered is net of any Site Allowance, or similar, as imposed by others from time to time, and is net of any goods and services tax (GST) that may be imposed. These will be added to our quotation price as necessary.
12. The Quotation price allows for a maximum of nine hours work per day Monday through Friday inclusive and six hours on Saturday. No allowance has been made for out of hours work. Any work required beyond these limits, is subject to the cost of any applicable allowance and will be considered a variation. Unless there has been an agreement by all parties involved including the Unions, no site work will be carried out on any Building Industries RDO. Any site variation works carried out under day labour rates will be subject to additional costs for allowances that may be incurred by our company. Such as, but not limited to, the following allowances: Meal, Crib, Travel, Site, Multi-Story and Living Away From Home.
13. No allowance has been made for the provision of site amenities other than for equipment storage. Lunch Room and Toilet facilities are to be provided by others.
14. No allowance has been made for the provision of any Quality Assurance documentation or for the performance of any Site Audit. Quality Assurance documentation meeting AS/NZ ISO 9002 standards can be provided at an additional cost. No third party certification is offered or included.
15. Any work program that has been offered or received is subject to our company’s workload at the time of order placement.
16. The scope of works is limited to structural steel, purlins & girts only unless our quotation letter details additional works.
17. If the tender drawings detail TF or TB connections, we have allowed for turn of the nut method.
18. The quotation is valid for a period of 30 days unless otherwise advised in writing.
